1. License Grant
Refyne grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Refyne application on your Windows device for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the standard Microsoft Store Terms of Sale.
2. User Obligations
By using Refyne, you agree to:
- Provide your own API key from Groq or OpenRouter. Refyne does not provide API access.
- Comply with the terms of service and privacy policies of Groq, OpenRouter, and any other third-party services you connect.
- Use Refyne only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of Refyne.
- Not redistribute, sublicense, sell, or transfer Refyne or any portion thereof without prior written consent.
3. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to Refyne — including but not limited to software, code, design, trademarks, and logos — are and shall remain the exclusive property of Refyne. You retain all rights to the text you write and correct using Refyne.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
Refyne is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The AI-generated corrections will always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your context.
- Refyne will be available at all times or free from errors, bugs, or interruptions.
- The application will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any corrected text before using it.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Refyne shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use Refyne, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your license to use Refyne at any time, with or without cause, and without prior notice. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the application. Upon termination, all provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
7. Third-Party Services
Refyne relies on third-party AI providers (Groq and OpenRouter) to perform text corrections. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of such services through Refyne is subject to their respective terms and policies.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Refyne after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
